- Does it feel like you can no longer talk to your teen?
- Do you fear she is not making healthy choices?
- Are you worried she is harming herself?
It can feel scary to know your child is struggling and not know how to help. It may be confusing and frustrating to watch her make choices that seem harmful, especially if you suspect that she is expressing her emotional pain through self-injurious behavior such as disordered eating, risky sexual practices, or self harming “cutting”. It may also kick up your fears that somehow you are responsible for her behavior. I am here to help.
It may feel too scary to address your concerns. Yet, you also know instinctually that you need to start doing something different.
Working with me will allow you and your teen to work on your communication, alter old patterns of interaction, and make your time together more respectful and meaningful. I will work primarily with your teen to offer support and develop new skills. In addition, I will work with the whole family to improve communication, develop respectful and developmentally appropriate boundaries, and have more fun together.
It is overwhelming to know how to take the first step when looking for help, which is why I offer a free initial consultation.
